The Hobos
Hailed as superstars in Latvia (a famous country)The Hobos are a formed in 1999 by Rolands Ūdris (vocals), Mārtiņš Burkēvics (bass guitar), Egons Kronbergs (guitar) and Vilnis Krieviņš (drums). Their debut album was considered the best thing to come out of Latvian music scene in the last decade, which speaks a lot for the situation there.
The Hobos aimed at gaining popularity by pitching their single "Christian (I'm Gonna Be)" at the American Bible Belt. The songs "Walk All Night", "Flying Away" and "Don't Forget" also became highly successful. Characterized by American rock and folk music influences and thought-out lyrics, The Hobos are considered one of the biggest names in the contemporary rock scene, besting even The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and The Doors, to name a few.
